YOUR FRIENDSHIP WARMS MY HEART

Hello Fellow Crafters! how was your weekend? Thank God the weather is more comfortable to do some crafting....whew....here in So-Cal it was horrible last week...even though my scraproom is equiped with a ceiling fan and a air conditioner...my energy level was low with humidity kicking my butt (lol)...so now we are in the temp range of mid 70's and now I feel like creating some more cards. I have been doing some xmas cards just so I can decide which one I want to duplicate and send out this year (will be posting them at a later date)...so for now I am working on some friendship cards...I will be giving out handmade cards (set of 6) for some xmas gifts this year. This particular saying caught my attention "YOUR FRIENDSHIP WARMS MY HEART" so I did some cuddlebug dry embossing, some scallop edge punching, over layed ontop of some good quality Bazzill cardstock and recently I have fallen in love with this parchment brown cardstock for making my cards soo this cardstock will definitely be on the list to buy in bulk at the Scrapbook-Expo in a couple of months...I had some beautiful floral designed brads...some gross grain yellow ribbon VIOLA...a nice card to send out! I hope this gives you some inspiration and some Xmas Gift Ideas to give out this year...I mean REALLY who would not love to recieve 1/2 doz. of beautiful cards???
Until next time....Keep Your Mind Creating!

SENDING A HUG

Hello fellow crafters! how is your weekend going....I spent yesterday morning at Apple Store learning more on how to navigate on my I-Pad.....I truly love my I-Pad..even though I am still learning new stuff slowly but it's okay every time I go in for the workshop which is only 1 hour.... I learn alot and even though they go into something I already know it seems they teach you a little something new...and then I left to go to Joanns to use a 50% off coupon...I am trying to learn how to use my new "Aquabrush with the water color pencils...I was watching you-tube and there was this demonstrator coloring with pencils and adding water to blend colors....when I found the brush Joanns had I read the directions for using the brush only to realize I DON'T HAVE ANY WATER COLOR PENCILS....(aaahhhh) so then while there at Joanns I went to the art section of the store and yes I picked up a pack of water colored pencils and I also took advantage of the 40% off of Tim Holtz embossing folders....so then my basket  started to look like I was shopping in the scrapbook area (lol).....I made my purchase and came home...I had recently signed up for a crop session which is taking place later next month of which we will be swapping cards & teaching how to make what we created...so now I had to gather materials for 15 additional crafters....wow lots of work....so to make a card to post for today had to be simple.....(lol...lol) this card may be simple but it says a lot....SENDING A HUG...the inside says "YOU CAN RETURN IT WHENEVER YOU WANT"...hopes this inspires you to go simple....paper was from 6x6 Paper Trey Ink & my stash...flat green pearls...until next time Keep your mind creating"

THINKING OF YOU TODAY!

Hello Fellow Crafters! I am having soo much fun with making hearts in a variety of printed paper.
I recently purchased some upgraded Bazzill cardstock and WOW what a difference in the texture...guess I'm hooked now (lol) this card was created by me thinking of my youngest son living down in Austin, TX....I am here in Los Angeles....even though we talk frequently, I still miss him hanging out with me and running around town. the printed paper is from "My Minds Eye" (MME) Reunion Series 6x6 pad....the outside sentiment "Thinking of you today" and the inside sentiment "And Missing You"...my rose bud is from my stash of craft supplies....hope this inspires you to create from the heart with hearts...until next time....Keep Your Mind Creating!

Sending A Hug

Hello Crafters....how are you holding up with the high temperatures (here in L.A) some areas have been in the triple digits (whew) I have been floating from the rooms with the fans blowing to my craft room with the air conditioner...boy am I glad my son installed it 5 years ago before it became my scraproom...I truly appreciate having a room that is comfortable to work in.....hope everyone is staying cool and hydrated....I decided to put together this card it says "SENDING A HUG....inside sentiment says "BECAUSE YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY" the colors are summer colors the paper is from Paper Tray Ink....from my stash of 6x6 pads it has mini minature hearts printed on it.I embllished it with hearts stamped from MS punch, and butterflies from MS punch...hope this inspires you to create a summer card since we are on the downside of this season...until next time "Keep Your Mind Creating"

Mr & Mrs.

My 28th wedding anniversary is coming in 2 days (8/11) I thought it would be cute to make this card for my hubby...and instead of putting happy anniversary on it I chose "Mr. & Mrs"...I think he will get a kick outta this (lol) and the inside sentiment says "To Love & Laughter and happily Ever After" too stinkin cute! Hope this helps you to think out of the box for your next project..this came from the Sweetheart cart cut at 2.5"....remember Keep Your Mind Creating!

Re-Organization to accomodate an old spice rack

Hello Fellow Crafters!!!! I spent the past week re-doing my scraproom...all of this happened because I took an old spice rack an recycled it to hold my brads & eyelets...and that meant I would have to re-organize a wall cause I wanted to display my recycled spice rack, so I bought a new cabinet to sit some other items on anyway during this process I also found a huge bag with ribbon and decided to make some ribbon bobbins & that way when I need to attend a crop I can toss them into a baggie & off I go...I am also going to display the cabinet so if you need to get one of these they are at Lowes for $15.99 and they come in black, white, tan...hope this inspires you to get organized as well.oh and I also found that on the last photo that because my Exp2 is shorter than my Reg-Exp the cover I made last year for the regular expression (which died ot 4 mos ago) fits my new Exp2 I thought that was great!!!!.....until next time...Keep Your Mind Creating.
