I know for the most part, most father's day cards always have something masculine on it to symbolize father's day.....I chose to do something a little different this card by showing dad with his daughter, and son....I selected the images from my "A child's year" cartridge.
This card is for my brother-n-law. He is a dad of girls and boys, so why not show that image on the face of the card. I sure hopes he likes it. Inside the card I have place (2) photos, one of the photos is of his first born, and second daughter (who is no longer with us). The second daughter died as an infant.
The photo is over 50yrs old....I am not sure he remembers this photo...I am hoping it brings him joy to have a photo of his precious daughters, Loretha & Ernestka (deceased).......the recipe is as follows
A Child's year Cart: images cut@ 3 1/2"
MS Punch:Spring
DCWV: Foil paper
Brown Gross Grain Ribbon
Brown & Tan Textured Cardstock
Happy Father's Day (printed from computer in brown)
all paper is cut to fit store bought Recollection cards
Hope you get inspired to try something un-traditional for a father's day card.....until next time!

Bearly A Minute
I thought it would be fun to make something from my cartridge "CREATE A CRITTER". A fellow scrapping friend let me use her stamp one day, so I stamped a few sentiments from her collection of stamps.....and today I felt this cute little character would be appropriate to make a card, actually, (3) cards (lol)...they worked up so quickly I decided to make them in various colors.
We do get busy in our lives and we sometimes forget to take time to say hello to some close buddies.
the recipe are as follows.....card base: recollections
color card stock cut at 4 3/4x6
strip of printed paper were cut at 1 1/2" (yellow & pink card)
strip of printed paper cut @ 3" ( blue card)
each strip was punched with MS floral design, matching/co-ordinating ribbon was added on top of border strip,
the bear was cut & layered at 4", I added matching ribbon on top of each bear, and the skirt was also cut @ 4", wiggly eyes are soo cute, added some doodling around the bear, and I also use MS butterfly punch.
Over all, these cards will sure put a smile on a girlfriends face, dontcha think?
Until my next creation is posted, have a great creative week!!

Design Team Call
Hello fellow crafters', I am entering the challenge to become one of the designers for 360o (three hundred-sixty degrees) the challenge is to create a card or layout with Lime Green and a Bug in it. Green is my favorite color so this was something I definitely wanted to get involved in. Here is the description of my D.T. Card:
I used a store bought 5x6 1/2 card, cut a background green cardstock @ 4 1/4x5 & embossed with "Swirls" folder through the cuddlebug, added a stamped sentiment, framed it out with green cardstock, and black at the bottom I added a strip of printed paper 1 1/2x2" at the bottom. I added some lime green metallic rick-rack ribbon, I layered on top with a grass die cut at 4" from the cartridge "Create a Critter", I also used the Worm from the same cartridge also cut at 4". I thought the wiggly eyes would give it some character. Last but not least, I added my extra doodling in white & black. The sentiment says 'HEARD YOU CAUGHT A BUG" this card should cheer up anyone who is down with the bug!!!

Hello fellow crafters....I am finally certified to do Health Insurance Policies for Business owners/employees. I was in training for 4 weeks and let me tell you.....my brain felt like it was fried daily with retention of information.
With all of that behind me now, I am still free to work for myself as an independent agent representing AFLAC!
I have already decided to work Mon-Thurs. and take Friday as my off day weekly....afterall a girl has to have some play time (lol)...slowly but surely I will be able to get into a routine of working & helping others and spending my off work time on creating and having time to share my creations with you.
Since this is my first weekend of offtime--away from books & brochures to study...I decided to create something from my Cricut Imagine ...I chose to make the following cards for mother's day, I sent out a few of these to close friends and realtives and of course my mom.
Hope you like how they turned out....enjoy until next time

I have been in intensed training for my new position, and I only have 1 more week before I am done!
During this process, I have met some really nice people and made some new friends. This first card is for a special person who is on the same journey as me....I am looking to create a better lifestyle for me and my family. We met a little over three weeks ago and we will be keeping in touch after our training is over. I made this card for her, giving her some words of encouragement to take what she has learned and use it to her advantage. This card is all about "Embrace what makes you unique", the butterfly signifys the freedom to be who you are and spread your wings and take flight, the flower symbolizes growing where you are planted and make it happen your way...the words on the inside says it all....Dance like no one's watching you, Sing like no one can hear you, Love like you've never been hurt before, Live like it's heaven here on earth.....I hope she likes the card I had a great time creating it! I used Recollections ready made card, covered it with some art-deco printed paper, I used green cardstock strip and MS to punch the edge, added some lavender cardstock to bring in that spring look, added some soft pink grossgrain ribbon, I used Picturesque cart to cut out the butterfly, added some glitter to bling it a little, and made my flower from paper punch added a pink/white strip brad, added a premade quote card and 4 self-stick pearls, a purple striped twine an doodle white gel pen.
This card reminds me of my other new friend, she is a DIVA....she too is looking to conquering a lot of new ground of creating a new Lifestyle as well....She will also be rising to the top as well...her words of encouragement are....Give a girl the correct footwear and she can conquer the world....after this week is over..we will part ways...but will be reunited again for a class reunion in about 30 - 60 days....we will all come together to share our success stories....this is all bittersweet but as they say...some people come into your life for a short while, and some forever stay in your life. As strong business women....I beleive I will see them at the top!!!
My new position will allow me to be in control of my hours of work..and days off, therefore I will be back to normal of posting my work begining the first week in May!!!!
I am looking forward to creating some beautiful Mother's day cards....until then.....have a wonderful EASTER and I will be sharing with you all again soon!

It's Spring
Hello fellow Crafters.......it has been a while since I last posted anything on my blog, I have been so busy with other things goin on with me....I have a new job, and have been doing interviews and finally, I got the position and will be in training for the whole month of April, so I thought I would take time to post a few new creations.....this is a simple clip board that I purchased at STAPELS for $1 and thought what a perfect size to have on hand to carry in the car for those detail things you need to take care of running errands....I simply used Red Tape to adhere to the board, and added some embellishments and my Blog initials...I thought it was cute to add the self-adhesive black pearls to separate the letters, these would be great to make and give away.....how many times were you in the grocery store and wished you had something like this to keep tabs of your spending....in the past even with a grocery list, I have had to find something flat to write on.......(just an idea)
Oh yes, Spring is here, and I created this card to give away for someone who loves shopping, I may even insert a gift card.....details of this card was done with the Peel-Off stencils, then colored added to my adhesive backing, then sprinkled with fine glitter & colored with Copic Pens....the colors are definitely "Spring"
I don't know how many of you have the "YourStory" machine, I recently purchased it from HSN about a week ago, and now I don't know why I waited so long before buying one, for $19.95 you receive the machine, and 28 albums, that's right 28....14 are used for 4x6 photos and 14 are for 5x7 photos.
This little book holds about 16-20 pages which will give you 32-40 photos to place inside. If you don't have "YourStory" you are definitely missing out on a gem!!! My idea is to get most of my photos into personalized size books and if I choose to... in the future to give them away as gifts, I can make sure everyone at the party receives their own personalized album....there is no end to the reasons why you need this machine...this project was created from my (2) youngest grandchildren, Olivia & James III who had a combined birthday party last November and so I wanted to make their album festive & bright...I also left some pages blank for journaling & decorating.....
this is the side view to show how many pages are inside...this turned out sooo cute....also if you are wondering what to do if you run out of albums....no worries....you can buy more....OR why not make your own from card stock....there is a You-Tube on how to make your own albums and use your hot glue gun for making your own glue strips....hope this helps you for being creative....until next time!
