recipe: recollections 6x5 card base
dk pink cardstock cut 1/4" shorter less than base card

light pink cardstock cut 1/4" less than the previous
top border from "DCWV" Nanna's kids, added white gross grain ribbon, flowers & butterfly punched from MS and mystamp was from "DeNami Designs", I used minature white button brads, white gel roll, dk pink self-adhesive pearls, MS glitter pen in tourmaline/pink......

Showing My Scrap Area

Creations With Christina wants us to show our scrap area, I must say I did get inspired to do a little cleaning first, but for the most part my room does stay in order...the only thing that I did differently this time was to take time to rearrange a few areas,,,,,I did get inspired from viewing some of the other crafters' rooms first, so here goes...........This is the view you see when you step into the room.
This is where I sit to create my projects, I used the roledex for organizing my rubber stamps, it has the images of every stamp I have on it and tells me if it is in a binder, or drawer. I have wine bottle holders with glass tumblers to house my gel pens. Yes there are 2 ATG guns, I lost one of the inner parts to rotate the tape, and after purchasing another gun, I found that I could order extra parts....oh well, it's ok to have 2.
this is where I sit to work on my computer, next to a hutch that houses some of my flowers, and juke box, 12x12 cardstock, ontop is my magazine holders, and my IPod w/fm radio....gotta have some music while being creative....
next to the hutch, is my Die Cut  Station...I have my Imagine, Expression, Cuttlebug, Gypsy and underneath is the jet cubes from Michales, with more paper rubber stamps...
next to the Die Cut Station, I have a shoe rack that holds my Cricut Carts...they are all alphabetized, along with my Imagine Carts.
Ahhhh yes the ribbons, glitter, embossing powders, and paints, buttons, flowers, antique spray inks.
I decided that these votive candle holders would best be served to house my bright buttons.....
I just made these dust covers a few days ago...and monogramed my blog name on them...so far I have made one for my Imagine, Expression...and below I just finished the dust cover for my cuttlebug..
I truly enjoyed creating these...they turned out great! They are all fully lined & padded. In the future I will be creating one for my sewing machine, & big shot! To order Dust Covers...see side bar!
this is where I keep my Big Shot, Your Story, Xron Label Makers, Quick Kutz, Crop-A-Diles (1) & (2), (7) different trimmers, Score Pal, on the 2nd sheld I have various containers to keep my cuttlebug embossing folders, die cuts for my Big Shot, cutting mats for my creative memories templates, notebooks/tablets, below are empty photo albums, and few that are half full, my real pride & joy is on the top where I purchased at Ross the (2) dress forms that I turned into clip it ups! I got both of the forms for less than $25..all I had to do was purchase the drapery clips, the clips cost me more than the dress forms (lol) but it was sooo worth it to get my embellishments hung up and organized.
this photo show off my other embellishments, such as my pearls in the round canisters, these came from Costco on a spice rack, they're magnetized, the drop down spice rack is from IKEA, and so are the towel racks, the buckets also, they house my various glues, mod podge, next to that I have displayed my MS collection of punches, I could probably fill the wall to the ceiling with the other punches that I have stored in my wicker drawer....
this area is for my sewing, although in the 1st drawer are my other punches, above the sewing machine I  have a couple of shelves for displaying my most recent creation of cards ....next to the wicker dresser which i picked up at a yard sale for $10...gotta love those yard sales...my other ribbons are stored next to it and next to the ribbons are my stampin up inkpads some day I look forward to purchasing more ink pads.
Well, this is pretty much my scrap area...I hope you enjoyed the tour......

Mr. Owl

I truly enjoyed creating this owl from Create A Critter! I guess you might say, that I was in a very creative mood with this cartridge, since my last three cards were made with the same cartridge. This is a great cart to use if you want to make some really cute cards...the colors will inspire you to work with a lot of color combinations...the tree branch came from "Picturesque" Cartridge...I love how this turned out I added some paper flowers & brads, a little ribbon, a little MS glitter, & MS punch, (owl was cut @ 2 3/4") some gelly-roll pen for doddling...
here is another inspirational card to give to anyone for anything you are thankful for...I hope this creation will also inspire you to make your animals any color you want them to be...who says owls only had to be black...(lol) in our world of imagining, we can make our owl polka dot if we wanted....have a creative week....until next time!
Hello crafters....I just had to create this little piggy ...isn't she too cute, again I used DCWV-Nana's paper, the google eyes were used again, and I selected the flag pole sign to print the words "YOU'RE TOO KIND"
this card is perfect to say thank you in a different way! Create A Critter cartridge, image was cut @ 2 3/4", I used MS glitter pens to decorate the white flag, and purple & white twine to make it look like Little Ms. Piggy was holding the twine.
Hope this card gives you inspiration to do something cute!
Until next time, have a creative week!!!

Happy Birhday Wobble Lion

Hello fellow crafters....I decided to create some birthday cards for children...no matter how hard I try to keep it simple...it still ends up being a little more fancier than simple (lol)
I found my stack of paper from DCWV "Nanna's Kids...and since my grandchildren refer to me as Nana, not grandma...I designed this card with my granddaughter in mind, she is a Leo and her birhday is just around the corner. The cartridge is from "CREATE A CRITTER", cut @ 2 3/4", placed on a black shadow cut,
I used the google  eyes, and the wobble spring, that's right this Lioness, wobbles when you spin the head... I thought it matched the background paper quite well..my stamp Happy Birthday is from STAMPINUP, I used some plain twine to tie on my happy birthday sign to the ribbon...I also used some gelly-roll pen to doodle around the edges..I hope this inspire you to make some fun cards for kids........until next time have a creative week.

Hubby's Father's Day Gift

I have become in love with  making canvas layouts ......I made 5 of them last year for christmas gifts for the kids, of course they are all grown up wth kids of their own now. I saw how much my hubby wished he had one of all the kids all together since it is really hard now, with the kids scattered acros the globe, so recently in cleaning up the garage I ran across this photo taken 26 years ago....I made a larger copy of a smaller photo and from there I went to work on creating a keepsake for my hubby. He can now look at "All My Chilwren", I love taking the word Children and changin it to the way folks from mississippi would say it "Chilwren"....I posted some of his favorite lullabye's he would sing to the kids along with their names on the upper journal tag.
I also use various embellishments from my stash....and I am showing off some of the new brads that I received recently from a fellow crafter...Roberta E. from http://www.thepapercraftingleague.blogspot.com/.
Along with winning a fiskars paper trimmer from her last month, she also surprised me with a bonus of assorted colors & sizes brads....the paper used was from Basic Grey...add some flowers, bling, ribbon
and now I have completed a masterpiece for him to have.... I hope this inspire you to be just as creative this weekend....

Cake Anyone?

OKAY.....it was brought to my attention by my hubby that I didn't have any simple birthday cards...he wanted to give a simple card for our grandson the other day and all the birthday cards I had were way to fancy, so I toned it down a little and made a few cards to have on hand, and this way on a whim, if I need to give a card for a male/female VIOLA!!! I am prepared, so I made a few and it looks like I will have to make more since 2 of them will be gone within the next 10 days..anywho...the cards are pre-made :
recollections 5x6 over layed with various cardstock cut 1/4" shorter
the background: embossed with HAPPY BIRTHDAY pattern
cake: from a stamp (colored with copic pens, glittered w/ms glitter) then cut out & popped with pop dots
added ribbon, doodling with white gel pen
enjoy until next time.....

More Father's Day Cards

I thought this father's day card would be great for my oldest son, he has four children, 3-girls and his youngest is a boy. And we all know that boys like trucks ....right??? I think he will enjoy receiving this card, I decided to insert a toddler picture of him inside, he will get a kick out of seeing how much his son looks like him at the age of two!
This card is for my dad! He is into cars....literally...before his stroke 14yrs which left him paralyzed on the leftside of his body, he owned and operated a auto shop where he worked long hours on cars fixing & repairing transmissions. Hope this brings a smile to his face!
cartridges used: Nifty Fifties, Alphalicious
Images were cut @ 4"
Lettering was cut @ 2 1/2"

Father's Day Cards

I know for the most part, most father's day cards always have something masculine on it to symbolize father's day.....I chose to do something a little different this card by showing dad with his daughter, and son....I selected the images from my "A child's year" cartridge.
This card is for my brother-n-law. He is a dad of girls and boys, so why not show that image on the face of the card. I sure hopes he likes it. Inside the card I have place (2) photos, one of the photos is of his first born, and second daughter (who is no longer with us). The second daughter died as an infant.
The photo is over 50yrs old....I am not sure he remembers this photo...I am hoping it brings him joy to have a photo of his precious daughters, Loretha & Ernestka (deceased).......the recipe is as follows
A Child's year Cart: images cut@ 3 1/2"
MS Punch:Spring
DCWV: Foil paper
Brown Gross Grain Ribbon
Brown & Tan Textured Cardstock
Happy Father's Day (printed from computer in brown)
all paper is cut to fit store bought Recollection cards
Hope you get inspired to try something un-traditional for a father's day card.....until next time!
